A room with a purpose

Entry

A small space that makes coming home easier.

General entry layout with practical furnishings and layered textures

Start with what matters.

  1. Keep the door swing and the onward path clear.
  2. Choose a narrow landing shelf or console and a small tray for keys.
  3. Use hooks and contained shoe storage sized to the things used every day.
  4. Finish with a securely mounted mirror, a little art, and a washable mat.

A common trap
Do not turn the entry into overflow storage. Give occasional-use items a home elsewhere.

For any rental, check your lease before drilling or changing fixtures. Use suitable fixings, respect load limits, and secure furniture or mirrors that could tip.
