A room with a purpose

Home office

A useful work corner that still belongs to the room.

General home office layout with practical furnishings and layered textures

Start with what matters.

  1. Choose a desk and adjustable chair that fit your work and support a comfortable position.
  2. Place the screen to limit window glare and add a dedicated task light.
  3. Contain cables safely and keep frequently used supplies within reach.
  4. Define the work zone with a shelf, a rug, or a change in furniture orientation; leave room to move the chair.

A common trap
Do not sacrifice practical ergonomics for a chair that only looks good in a photograph.

For any rental, check your lease before drilling or changing fixtures. Use suitable fixings, respect load limits, and secure furniture or mirrors that could tip.
